Average cost of 1 acre in the UK – Uk land and farms

Average cost of 1 acre in the UK

Average cost of 1 acre in the UK

How much does it cost per acre?

Well this of course varies greatly, it depends on the location, how arable the land is and the owners situation.  We have done some research and found that as of 2016 the average price per acre is over £10,045 per acre, this increasing steadily and will hopefully continue to rise.  Prices back in 2013 were on average £9,500 this is a very nice increase and shows that land prices are steadily increasing.

2017 and 2018 has not been a great year for farming in general, very cold winters followed by a very hot and dry summer has affected crops and looks like it is set to continue like this for some time.  This will affect land prices and could possibly see the upward trend of land prices reverse and start a downward trend for the near future.
